Salmon pink decorative watermark fills the bill. At the top in black font is “Nr. 002222” with a grey background. Below that is written “STADT ALFELD (LEINE)”. Beneath that is “GUTSCHEIN ÜBER.” In the middle in large font is written “ZWEI MARK” and either side is a large “2” with “MARK” written in small text beneath it. Above and below each “2” is a small black star. Below this is “Alfeld (Leine), 1. Dezember 1918.” Below that is written Below this is “Der Magistrat” with the Magistrate’s signature beneath and “Das Bürgervorsteherkollegium” with the City Council’s Signature beneath.

Beneath this in small font is: ”Dieser Gutchschein muß binnen einem Monat nach erfolgter öffentlicher Aufforderung, spätestens aber am 1. Februar 1919, zur Einlösung gebracht warden. Verlängerung der Einlösungsfrist bleibt vorbehalten.” Below this on the white edge in very small font is: “J.C König & Ebhardt in Hannover.”
