The Effects Of Classroom Environment on Student Success
Description
David F. Putnam Science Center, Room 129
In today's schools, students and teachers are overwhelmed with the pressures of testing and accountability that stifle the classroom environment. Teachers can create a cohesive classroom environment through understanding and incorporating different learning styles to enhance instruction through creativity, technology, and the arts. Through our research we have identified several key factors that address this problem and positively impact students' social, emotional, and academic development. By exploring inside and outside classroom relationships, we hope to show how important these are to the development to the classroom and the student. Another critical factor affecting today's classroom environments and students' learning is bullying. The research will be shared on how to create a safe environment through classroom building and prevention strategies. Our findings indicate that the multiple stakeholders involved in the education process need to be aware of integrating and addressing these factors in systematic ways.
