- The Historical Society of Cheshire County (HSCC) has operated Keene's Wyman Tavern as a historical period house since 1968. However, in an attempt to retain its relevance to the community, the HSCC is transforming the tavern and its other properties into a cultural heritage center. This study examines trends among other cultural heritage centers and historical taverns, how the history of the Wyman Tavern ties into the expected changes and what types of changes would interest potential visitors to the 'new' Wyman Tavern. An assumption is made that those most interested in the tavern would be highly educated local residents with large household incomes and that hypothesis is analyzed within the study.
