Wm Stewart of Amherst that was appointed an Ensign for Rhode Island Expedition declines going - beg that the bearer Lt. Moses Barron one of the Lieutenants in an Amherst Company May have the Ensigns Commm for Sd. Expeion it will be Very pleasing to the men - and His Caracter Stands Very fair & unblemished Beg he may have one Month advance pay I have given orders for Capt.
