dc.description.abstract Due to the interdisciplinary nature of geography it often gets overlooked and lost amongst subjects, instead of being a sought after resource to support vital skills across the curriculum. The purpose of this undergraduate geography seminar research project is to examine potential uses for giant maps, teacher interests, and whether or not they can support learning in subjects besides social studies: specifically, the impact of kinesthetic learning using giant maps on learning spatial, geographic, and mathematical skills. Data was acquired through surveys, observations, interactive ArcGIS map, and focus groups.
