Applying basic principles to modern problems, the course may focus on a theme such as evolution and conservation of biodiversity, plants and society, or ecology and environmental issues. Can be repeated for elective credit but not ISP credit as topics change”. Fall, Spring. BIO 104 TOPICS IN INVESTIGATIVE BIOLOGY An integrated lecture-lab course for nonmajors that explores biological topics through hands-on investigative activities. Will focus on a theme, such as the forensic sciences or ecology, and will require use of the scientific method to further understanding of key concepts. Will satisfy the lab science requirement for education majors. Fall, Spring. PROPOSED (NEW) COURSE TITLE: PROPOSED (NEW) COURSE DESCRIPTION: LEARNING OUTCOMES: RATIONALE: Explain why this change is being made. Address the connection with institutional mission, and/or department, program, and course objectives. We are shifting our previously existing topics course to be suitable for the Integrative Studies program. These courses are being replaced by INBIO 101 and INBIO 104. RESOURCES: All biology faculty, many adjuncts. No additional resources required. What additional library resources will be required?
