Over the course of two semesters Bachelor of Fine Arts students both conceptualize and execute a final body of work for the annual Keene State College Student Art Exhibition at the Thorne-Sagendorph Gallery. The Studio Art program is a highly selective program, once students have fulfilled the portfolio requirements they are given an individual studio space and work one on one with an Art professor mentor. Students are encouraged to develop their skills and broaden their knowledge under the guidance of faculty in Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Photography, Printmaking or Sculpture. This independent advanced studio work is reflective of creative research in the Arts, by assembling a professionally presented portfolio these students have prepared for graduate school and or a variety of careers in the visual art field.
Many projects have been funded through the Undergraduate Research and Creative Grants program at Keene State College.
