Larissa Sudakova (Russian, born 1934), "The Simpleton and his Magic Horse" (2014). Art Inventory Database. 193.
An old father asked his three sons to sit on his grave after he died. The youngest son, a simpleton, was the only one who did it, and for his loyalty the dead father rose up and gave the simpleton a magic horse. One day the King of that country announced that whoever could kiss his daughter, Princess Beautiful, while she was three stories high could have her as his bride. The simpleton summoned his magic horse, turned into a great hero and, as his brothers watched, jumped high enough to kiss the Princess and win her as his wife.
