Old-Fashioned sail boats on the water
Victor Pyatkov (Russian, born 1939) and Leonora Yusupova (Russian, born 1940), "Marco the Rich and Vasily the Luckless" (2014). Art Inventory Database. 184.
Marco the Rich was so jealous of his son-in-law, Vasily the Luckless, he sent him on a suicide mission to retrieve twelve ships Marco was owed by a Dragon. But, helped by a beautiful maiden, Vasily escaped from the Dragon, persuaded a whale to disgorge the ships and found buried treasure, while Marco became a lifelong wanderer. Vasily lived happily ever after with his wife and Marco's wealth and kingdon, helping the poor and giving food and drink to beggars.
